Ask people if they like their job, and you generally hear that work stinks. Many people suffer their whole life in a job they hate, but it doesn’t have to be that way! I have discovered that I have a real passion for talking about the material you currently see on this blog. Engage me in a conversation on the topic and you will see me becoming more and more animated and enthused.
How did I find this “passion”, this thing that I really love? I stumbled into it! I didn’t get up one day and say “Gee, I think I would be interested in personal empowerment and making myself more productive. I think I am going to get really involved in the topic because I know I will love it!”
Rather, I stumbled across some articles online January 1, 2007 - it quickly snowballed from there.
How do you find YOUR passion(s)? Expose yourself to as many jobs, types of activities, situations, and hobbies as possible. If it sounds even REMOTELY interesting, then try it! You may find something that you just LOVE to do. We spend more time, more easily on the things that we love to do. You can quickly become something of an expert in the area. You may wish to pursue it as a hobby or even a career, or at least one more topic you know about if your interest in the topic fades.
Does it have to be THE passion of your life? No, just try and keep up the things that interest you most. They provide motivation and can be a springboard to a new greater passion. You can have several passions - and the best job may be in somehow mixing and matching them in new ways.
Experience life! Try out as many new things as you can, you might just stumble in YOUR dream career!
