No, You Don’t Need to Pack All that Stuff!

In the past, when I have packed for weekends or moving my home base for 3 weeks, I have always taken too much. I generally have a too-big annoying-to-carry bag, and I don’t end up using most of it.
Why? When packing, I normally go through everything I have and ask “could this be useful?” If you want to take less - don’t look around, just ask, based on your schedule and your habits- “what do I NEED?” When things are “out of sight, out of mind” it’s much harder to fool yourself into thinking you need to take it!
What is the worst that could happen if you don’t take along something that MIGHT have been useful? You don’t end up using it. And even if you make a horrible mistake and forget something that you absolutely must have - is it really a horrible mistake? In the long run, does it matter? You can go a few days without it, or at worst you can try to borrow it, or buy a new one.
Try for less packing – or even OneBag!
