Lack of Sleep -> Lack of Happy Feelings

How often have you seen a tired, happy person? When people are tired, their eyes are usually drooping. If they are really sleep deprived, they will be cranky. They may decide to sit back watch, instead of participating - they lack the energy and motivation to go do stuff. Being tired doesn’t sound very happy to me. Even missing a little sleep yields similar results.
Not getting enough sleep is a roadblock to feeling happy. I won’t say it prevents it - happiness comes from your thoughts. You can still change your thoughts to be positive. But a lack of sleep won’t help at all. If you are just starting to control your thoughts to make them more positive, being tired - even a little - will greatly interfere. It will minimize those unprompted “happy moments” that you may otherwise notice.
Get enough sleep. You will feel better, learn better, work better, and be happier!
